Fishing Report for Devils Lake, ND December 11, 2025:
Ice fishing is upon Devils Lake once again! It is such a fun time of year…the anticipation of catching fish, spending time with friends and family, and trying out new lures, rods, electronics, and toys!
With all this excitement going on it is so very important to remember safety first! Please fish with partners, use ice picks, spud bars, throw ropes and drill your way out when you are on ice for the first time. Remember, just because someone else is out there DOES NOT mean that is safe. You should be the person checking the conditions. Do not travel in the dark. Be very careful around ridges and cracks. Remember, they can and do change quickly.
As for the thickness of the ice. Overall, we are seeing 6-10 inches in many areas. Some areas have more than this and some places have less. We have a cold forecast for the next several days which should help us build more solid ice! Again, safety first and take your time!!
As for fishing, we haven’t done a lot of it yet. We are checking some places and have caught a mixture of walleyes and perch. We will know a lot more in a few days and will let everyone know what we are finding! Good luck to everyone and remember to HEAD TO ED’S for all your fishing needs!!!
