6-25 Devils Lake Fishing Report

The bite has been a bit of a rollercoaster this week. Whether it’s been the weather, isolated storms, or a combination of both, things have been a little funky. We’re marking plenty of fish, but getting them to consistently bite has been a challenge.

One thing we’ve noticed is that many of the fish being caught are absolutely full of bait. That could certainly be part of what’s making them a little tougher to trigger. Hopefully, the more consistent summertime weather expected over the next week gets things rolling again.

Walleyes are being found anywhere from 3 to 30 feet this week, which means just about any way you like to fish can produce right now!

Bobbers

Trolling Spinners
Trolling Crankbaits

They’re all catching fish.

Most of the shallow fish are relating to weed edges, with the majority of those weeds sitting in 3–10 feet of water. Beyond that, we’re finding fish on just about every type of structure imaginable, including flooded roads, rock piles, and timber.

Keep an eye on the weather over the next several days. Severe storms are possible almost every day, so make sure to check the forecast and stay weather aware while on the water.

Good luck to everyone fishing the Devils Lake Chamber Tournament this weekend! Stay safe and catch a few big ones!

We have leeches, crawlers, and minnows in stock.
